The Ministry of Health of Cyprus announced a few days ago that countries will be classified based on a new epidemiological risk assessment. The new changes will take effect on Thursday, August 26.
green countries
Low-risk countries at this stage
EU member states: Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Czech Republic
Third countries: Australia, Jordan, New Zealand, Singapore
-Passengers from green countries no need to hold a COVID-19 test certificate or self-quarantine.
Orange category countries
Compared with green countries, countries with lower risk but greater uncertainty
EU member states: Austria, Germany, Greece, Italy, Croatia, Latvia, Luxembourg, Slovenia, Finland
Small country: Vatican
Schengen member states: Norway
Third countries: Canada, Qatar, China, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia
-Passengers from countries in the orange category should undergo PCR testing within 72 hours before departure and have a report showing negative PCR results. The Ministry of Health stated that regardless of nationality, the test costs are borne by themselves. In addition, such persons should keep self-isolation span> until the test results are announced.
Red countries
Countries with increased risk compared to green and orange countries
EU member states: Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Denmark, Estonia, Ireland, Spain, Lithuania, Malta, Netherlands, Portugal, Sweden

Schengen member states: Switzerland, Iceland, Liechtenstein
Third countries: Azerbaijan, Egypt, Albania, Armenia, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, United Arab Emirates, United States, United Kingdom, Japan, Israel, Kuwait, Belarus, Lebanon, Montenegro, Moldova, Brunei, South Korea, Ukraine, Russia, Serbia
-Passengers from red countries must keep compulsory self-isolation within 72 hours of arrival, and after 72 hours, You must accept additional PCR testing at your own expense. If the retest result is negative, the quarantine can be terminated.

Gray countries (special permission):
Countries not mentioned in the above categories (green, orange, and red) are considered gray categories (special permission).
For countries in the grey category, only the following categories of passengers are allowed to enter Cyprus:
1,Cypriot citizens and family members (foreign spouses and their minor children),
2, European citizens and the European Economic Area Nationals (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway) and Swiss citizens,
3, a person legally resident in Cyprus ,
4, The right to enter the Republic,
5、 Enter with special permission from the Republic of Cyprus A third country national of Cyprus.
-Passengers from gray-classified countries must undergo a Covid-19 test in an accredited laboratory within 72 hours before departure and hold a certificate showing that the PCR test result is negative.
Passengers arriving in Cyprus from countries in the grey category (special permission) should be subject to mandatory isolation/self-isolation for 14 days, or mandatory isolation/self-isolation for 10 days, provided that on the 10th day, the Covid-19 test is performed again (at your own expense). The result was negative. The test results must be sent to the following email address: monada@mphs.moh.gov.cy.
