The Open University of Hong Kong Jockey Club School of Health Care
To cope with the challenges brought about by the aging population and the increasing demand for medical services,The Open University of Hong Kong (OUHK) launched a new campus development plan in 2017 to build the Open University of Hong Kong Jockey Club School of Health Care. After four years of preparations, the new campus was finally completed.
The OUHK recently held the opening ceremony of the new school building. Chief Executive Carrie Lam, the President of the Open University and others officiated together in the form of pre-recorded videos and in person.
To thank the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust Fund for its donation, the OUHK specially named the new college after the Hong Kong Jockey Club.

The Jockey Club School of Health and Nursing of The Open University of Hong Kong is located on Chang Shing Street opposite the Ho Man Tin campus of the OUHK. It is a 13-storey building with a total construction area of 18,680 square meters. The building adopts a modern architectural style design, and adds a lot of greening elements, blends into the nearby community environment, and adds a vibrant new look to the campus.

At the opening ceremony, President Huang also mentioned that the OUHK had reached an agreement with Zhaoqing City Government and Zhaoqing University to develop a new campus in the Greater Bay Area. It is expected to cover an area of 2,500 acres with a total investment of 3.84 billion yuan. He hopes to expand the development space of the OUHK.
