On April 14 (Canada time), Canadian Minister of Immigration Marco Mendicino announced a new immigration plan: Canada’s Department of Immigration It is currently preparing to open up a new path for permanent residence for 90,000 basic workers and international graduates in Canada.
Marco Mendicino said that the new policy will give permanent status (Maple Leaf PR Card) to temporary workers and graduates who have the skills and experience needed to fight the pandemic and achieve economic recovery in Canada.
Necessary workers, international student graduates and French-speaking people in Canada will have six new ways to obtain permanent residency. Three of the categories are for French-speaking applicants, and there is no upper limit on the number of immigrants.
The other three categories are for international students and essential workers, with 90,000 places:

①20,000 temporary workers in the medical and health industry
②30,000 temporary workers in other necessary industries
③40,000 recently graduated international students
Health care and other eligible workers must have at least one year of Canadian work experience in order to apply; these categories include not only doctors and nurses, but also home support workers, housekeepers and "other medical Auxiliary occupation of service".
International graduates must complete Canadian university and college programs and graduate successfully within the past 4 years (no earlier than January 2017).
These three categories will be applied from May 6th until November 5th, 2021. Once the quota is filled, this immigration channel will be shut down.
