This program aims to attract high-end talents with rich work experience and high academic qualifications from all over the world to explore opportunities in Hong Kong.
This type of people intends to come to Hong Kong to work and settle down, but has not yet been recruited in Hong Kong, including high-income earners and graduates of the world's top universities.

Petition form
1. There is no limit on the number of people:
Category A: talents with an annual salary of HK$2.5 million or above (or equivalent in foreign currency) in the past year;
Income includes taxable employment and business income (including salaries, allowances, stock options, etc.).
Category B: Obtain a bachelor's degree from a top 100 global university and accumulate to 3 or more years of work experience (including full-time and self-employed persons) in the 5 years before application.
2. The upper limit is 10,000 people per year, on a first-come-first-served basis:
Category C: Less than 3 years of work experience, but have obtained a bachelor's degree from a top 100 university within 5 years before applying (excluding graduates from local universities in Hong Kong).

Listed on the following list in the past 5 years:
The top 100 universities mainly refer to 4 lists (Times Higher Education World University Rankings, Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings, US News and World Report Best Global Universities Rankings, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University Academic Ranking of World Universities), as long as applicants Graduated universities included in any of the lists will be included in the top 100 universities.
There are 9 institutions in the Mainland listed in it:
Tsinghua University, Peking University, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Zhejiang University, University of Science and Technology of China, Nanjing University, Sun Yat-sen University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
Notice:
? Degrees obtained from continuing and professional education colleges, branch campuses, extended colleges or affiliated colleges established by top 100 universities in the world will not be accepted;
? Honorary bachelor degrees will not be accepted.
Focus? : Only undergraduate graduates from top 100 schools can apply!
If your undergraduate degree is not from a world-renowned university, but your master's or doctoral degree is from a Top100 institution, it is recommended to apply for the Hong Kong Talents Program!

Way of stay
1. Duration of stay model: 2-3-3
Generally, applicants who enter Hong Kong for the first time are allowed to stay in Hong Kong for 24 months without other conditions of stay.
Subsequent application for extension of stay in 3-3 year mode, must have been employed at the time of application for extension of stay.
2. Top talent category stay pattern: 2-6
The following conditions must be met: have been approved to stay in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region for not less than 2 years under the Gaocaitong Scheme; and the assessable income for salaries tax in the previous assessment year is HK$2 million or above.
Such applicants are generally allowed to extend their stay for 6 years without other conditions of stay.
3. Duration of stay of dependents:
Generally, it will be linked to the period of stay of its guarantor. Must still qualify as dependents at the time of application for an extension of stay.
People who have lived in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region for no less than 7 consecutive years can apply for the right of abode in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (that is, permanent residence in Hong Kong) according to law.
