Gradually resume operation of Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed rail
The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government announced that the Hong Kong section of the high-speed rail will resume operations on January 15.
At the initial stage of the resumption of high-speed rail, services between Hong Kong West Kowloon Station and Futian, Shenzhen North and Guangzhou South stations will be resumed, and services to and from Guangzhou East will be added.
Intermediate stations include Guangming City, Humen, Qingsheng and the newly added Dongguan South and Dongguan Stations.
Among them, the railway department will arrange for 38.5 pairs of high-speed rail EMU passenger trains to run on an average day.
The daily sale of high-speed rail tickets is limited to 10,000 tickets, 5,000 tickets for the northbound and 5,000 tickets for the southbound each.
In the next step, the railway department will also make timely optimization and adjustments according to the passenger flow situation, and continue to promote the orderly recovery of cross-border high-speed rail passenger transport.
