According to the latest Henley Passport Index, among the 227 tourist destinations in the world, Singapore enjoys visa-free/visa-on-arrival treatment for 192 countries or regions, ranking first.
Germany, Italy and Spain all rose to the second place, with visa-free/visa-on-arrival access to 190 tourist destinations.
Japan ranks third with Austria, Finland, France, Luxembourg, Sweden and South Korea, and can visit 189 tourist destinations without a visa or with a visa on arrival.
The UK has finally jumped two spots in the latest rankings to fourth place after six consecutive years of decline.
The ranking of Australian passports rose again in the third quarter, from eighth at the beginning of the year to sixth, enjoying visa-free/visa-on-arrival treatment for 186 tourist destinations.
