The "Gazing at Sanxingdui" exhibition is jointly organized by the Hong Kong Palace Museum, Sanxingdui Museum and Chengdu Jinsha Site Museum, and co-organized by the Sichuan Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology and the Chengdu Institute of Cultural Relics and Archeology.
The Hong Kong Palace Museum stated that this exhibition will focus on new archaeological discoveries in Sichuan Province represented by the Sanxingdui site. A total of 120 precious cultural relics will be on display, including bronzes, jades, gold and pottery dating from 2,600 to 4,500 years ago. wait.
Among them, nearly half of the exhibits are important cultural relics newly excavated between 2020 and 2022, and some exhibits are exhibited outside Sichuan Province for the first time.
Its highlights include: bronze human heads, bronze mythical beasts, eye-shaped vessels, dragon-shaped vessels, tiger-headed dragon statues, jade square seats with animal faces, phoenix and bird patterns, etc., currently on display in the new Sanxingdui Museum.
