The Hong Kong Outstanding Talents Admission Scheme, referred to as the "Excellent Talents Scheme", is a quota-based immigrant absorption plan implemented by the Hong Kong government in 2006. The purpose is to attract high-tech talents or excellent talents to settle in Hong Kong, so as to enhance Hong Kong's competitiveness.
Approved applicants are not required to obtain employment from local employers before coming to Hong Kong for settlement.
The plan will abolish the annual quota in 2023, that is, there will be no quota limit for a period of two years.
Application conditions
? Age: over 18 years old;
? Financial ability: Prove that during your stay in Hong Kong, you can support yourself and your dependents without public assistance;
? Good conduct: no criminal or bad record;
? Language skills: good in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) or English;

From 2023, the duration of the first visa after being approved through the Excellent Talents Program will be changed from 2 years to 3 years, and the visa can be renewed if it meets the usual residence requirements.

The Hong Kong Importation of Mainland Talents Program, referred to as the "Professional Program", was launched by the Hong Kong government in 2003. The aim is to attract mainland outstanding talents or professionals with recognized qualifications to settle in Hong Kong, so as to enhance Hong Kong's competitiveness in the global market.
There is no quota limit for the scheme for importing mainland talents, nor is it limited to industries.
Have been hired by a Hong Kong company before applying, and the position provided is related to their education or experience. Salary and benefits are roughly the same as those in the local professional market at that time.
Application conditions
? Age: over 18 years old;
? Good conduct: no criminal or bad record;
? Language skills: good in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) or English;
? Good background: Possess a bachelor's degree. In exceptional cases, good technical qualifications, proven professional competence and/or documented relevant experience and achievements may also be accepted.
It can also be self-employed by a Hong Kong company founded by myself, or sent to Hong Kong by a strong mainland parent company.

Applicants need to be hired by a local company in Hong Kong before submitting an application, and they can obtain a work visa after being qualified and approved.

Hong Kong High-end Talent Pass Scheme
Top Talent Pass Scheme
brief introduction
The High-end Talent Pass Scheme, referred to as "Gaocaitong", aims to attract high-end talents with rich work experience and high academic qualifications from all over the world to explore opportunities in Hong Kong. Applications will be officially accepted from October 28, 2022.
High-end talents include: high-income earners and graduates of the world's top universities. Those who successfully apply to come to the HKSAR will be allowed to stay in Hong Kong for 24 months.
Application conditions
Category A: talents with an annual salary of HK$2.5 million or above (or equivalent in foreign currency) in the past year;
*Income includes taxable employment and business income such as salaries, allowances, stock options, etc.
Category B: Obtain a bachelor's degree from a top 100 global university, and accumulate 3 or more years of work experience in the 5 years before application;
*Includes full-time and self-employed individuals.
Category C: less than 3 years of work experience, but have obtained a bachelor's degree from a top 100 university within 5 years before applying, and the limit is 10,000 per year.
*Graduates from local universities in Hong Kong are not included.
