Li Jiachao: Cancellation order
Chief Executive Lee Ka-chao announced that starting from January 30, the quarantine order will be revoked, and confirmed cases do not need to be quarantined at home.
The main reasons why the Hong Kong government decided to cancel the quarantine order are as follows
① The mixed immune barrier of society is already very strong, and most of the citizens who have completed the vaccination are mildly infected even if they are infected
② The risk of the virus to local public health has been significantly changed and reduced;
③ After more than ten days of customs clearance with the mainland, there has been no increase in the risk of the epidemic;
④ The society and citizens’ awareness and ability to deal with the virus have been greatly improved;
⑤ The government's management of the new crown epidemic needs to move towards a new stage and a new model;
⑥ Hong Kong has entered the stage of returning to normal.
