1. What is "Gao Caitong"?
The Gaocaitong plan was launched by the Hong Kong government at the end of 2022. It aims to attract high-end talents with rich work experience and high education from all over the world to explore opportunities in Hong Kong.

2. Application Qualifications for "Gao Caitong"
Gaocaitong divides qualified persons into three categories: A, B, and C. Applicants who meet one of these categories can submit applications. (no scoring required)
Category A: Annual salary of 2.5 million Hong Kong dollars (or equivalent foreign currency) in the previous year, no restrictions, no restrictions on academic qualifications;
Category B: Bachelor's degree from top 100 universities + 3 years of work experience within 5 years, no quota;
Category C: Obtain a bachelor's degree from a top 100 university within 5 years, with a limit of 10,000 students per year.
3. What does the annual salary include?
Annual income is taxable employment or business income, including salaries, allowances, stock options, and profits from companies they own.
Income generated from personal investments is not counted.
4. Can Gao Caitong apply again after the visa is terminated?
According to the official website of the Immigration Department, applicants for the GSM program can only be approved once.
If applicants are allowed to come to Hong Kong according to the plan, but later leave Hong Kong to develop elsewhere, and do not renew their visa when the period of stay expires, they can only apply to return to Hong Kong for work or residence through other entry policies.
5. What are the renewal requirements?
The applicant must already be employed, i.e. work at the time of renewal;
The salary and benefits of the position must meet the market level;
If the applicant has established or participated in any business in the HKSAR, he is required to produce proof of his business;

8. For category C applications, the requirements for graduating within five years, how is "within five years" calculated?
Calculated based on the applicant's year of graduation.
For example, those who graduated from the "Top 100 Global Universities" in 2018 and obtained a bachelor's degree must submit a Category C application on or before December 31, 2023.
9. The bachelor's degree program is jointly organized by two universities. Does it meet the academic qualifications for B or C applications?
As long as all relevant awarding institutions/universities listed on the applicant's graduation certificate are "Top 100 Global Universities" and meet other application qualifications of the relevant categories of the "Global Talents Program", they can apply.
10. How many dependents can be added?
After the main applicant of Gaocaitong is approved, his spouse and unmarried children under the age of 18 can apply for a visa through the status of dependents, and can apply for up to eight dependents.
