#What is the Hague Convention?
The Hague Convention, fully known as the Convention on the Cancellation of the Certification Requirements for Foreign Official Documents, is formulated to "eliminate the need for diplomatic or consular authentication of foreign official documents," simplifying the process of document authentication in the consular document authentication process.
#What is The Hague Certification?
The Hague certification, also known as APOSTILLE certification, refers to a secondary certification issued by government agencies in the member countries of The Hague to the issuer of the original certification (usually a local notary office or an international notary).
That is, to certify that the notary office or international notary is qualified to issue the original authentication document, and to affix a seal or label to the authentication document. This process is called Hague authentication.
#Why do I need Hague certification?
When your documents need to be used in the Hague member countries, you need to apply for Hague certification, so that the relevant documents are recognized by the Hague member countries or regions and have legal effect.
Only company documents that have undergone international notarization and authentication procedures can be recognized by domestic laws and effectively used.
China looks forward to working with all parties to jointly promote the smooth implementation of the Hague Convention and further facilitate international trade and personnel exchanges.
