Singapore is the top choice for overseas business
In late November, HSBC Global Private Bank published a report on entrepreneurial wealth. The report surveyed 1,798 high net worth business owners from ten countries and regions - the UK, the US, France, Switzerland, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, India and the UAE.
All of these business owners have at least US$2 million in investable assets, with 583 of them having a net worth of more than US$100 million, making them ultra-high net worth individuals.
According to the survey results, in the next 12 months, more than 73% of the world's affluent business owners plan to expand their business overseas, of which 9% of business owners regard Singapore as the preferred destination, followed by Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States.
The report also noted that Singapore's attraction to global HNW and UHNW entrepreneurs is due to its political and social stability, business-friendly regulatory environment, and mature investment ecosystem.
In addition, 55% of entrepreneurs surveyed are considering relocating overseas in the next year, and Singapore is their preferred relocation destination. In particular, entrepreneurs from Hong Kong, China (19%), Taiwan, China (16%) and India (15%) have the strongest intention to relocate to Singapore.

On December 3, the Blavarnick School of Government at the University of Oxford in the UK released the Blavarnick Public Administration Index report.
The report comprehensively assesses the performance of 120 countries around the world in four key areas of the public administration sector: systematic service delivery, public policy, people and processes, and strategy and leadership.
Singapore was honored as the world's No. 1 for its outstanding overall performance.
In terms of specific indicators, Singapore ranked first globally in the areas of Systems Service Delivery and Public Policy, fourth globally in People & Process Management, and fifth globally in Strategy & Leadership.
The results of this report not only demonstrate the Singapore government's ability to provide efficient and caring services to the public, but also indicate that entrepreneurs doing business in Singapore will enjoy a highly efficient and transparent government service environment.
