The Hong Kong version of the health code goes live in early December
The previous two days have given everyone a notice that the Mainland and Hong Kong will hold a second round of matchmaking meetings in Shenzhen.
How did the talk go? Come take a look with Xiaoxing!
Have the conditions for customs clearance
On November 25, the Mainland and Hong Kong held the second round of matchmaking meeting in Shenzhen.
The Chief Secretary for Administration of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government Li Jiachao revealed to reporters after the meeting that mainland experts believe that Hong Kong has adopted a series of effective epidemic prevention and control measures and basically has the favorable conditions for customs clearance with the mainland without isolation.

Li Jiachao said that the Hong Kong government has entered the full "implementation" stage of "orderly customs clearance", including the launch of the Hong Kong health code. In the future, it will study port management and health code docking and transcoding.
The atmosphere of the second round of the matchmaking meeting was good, and the National Health Commission was quite affirmed of Hong Kong's epidemic prevention work.
"Gangkang Code" goes online in early December
The Secretary for Innovation and Technology Xue Yongheng pointed out that the Hong Kong Health Code has been developed and will be launched in early December. A related introduction will be made next week for the public to try it out.
The Hong Kong Health Code adopts the real-name system and is used in conjunction with "Travel with peace of mind".
The two parties also agreed to set up a special class to focus on the docking, transcoding and application of the Hong Kong Health Code and the Mainland Health Code, as well as port management, cooperation between the two parties, and joint prevention and control mechanisms to ensure orderly, smooth and effective risk management.
Customs clearance date
Regarding the specific days of customs clearance, there have been three statements in just a few days:
1. "South China Morning Post" stated that customs clearance can be replied in early December, and news of the one-week countdown is flying all over the sky;
2. It is circulated in the political circles that the two places can resume limited customs clearance as soon as December 10th;
3. The Chief Executive stated that it is unlikely that the two places will reach the normal customs clearance before the Legislative Council election day, that is, before December 19.
In addition, Hong Kong’s major social media are spreading this news wildly:

I’m sorry to tell you that no specific date has been set for this matchmaking meeting. But the light has come!
Li Jiachao said that at the meeting, the two places agreed to move forward as soon as possible, and a report will be submitted after the meeting. He believes that the two sides will continue to communicate and continue discussions in terms of actual details.
Specific customs clearance mode
Li Jiachao said that there is a quota system in the early stage of customs clearance, and the specific situation is still being discussed and implemented. Currently, only two borders are in operation. The details of how to cooperate with the customs clearance are still being studied, waiting for the final feedback from the mainland.
Fuse mechanism
As for the circuit breaker mechanism, the mainland authorities originally requested that customs clearance should be suspended if there is a local diagnosis. However, the Hong Kong government hopes to win the understanding of the Mainland authorities and accept that the two groups should erupt simultaneously in Hong Kong as the "fuse point".
Li Jiachao said that any new risks must be well managed. The Department of Health and the Food and Health Bureau must ensure that any infection cases are fully studied and tracked, and that local cases are cleared. This is a good condition for customs clearance.
Hong Kong is now making the final sprint for customs clearance: The Hong Kong government recently announced that starting from December 9th, citizens must scan codes to "travel with peace of mind" in all restaurants, movie theaters, etc. entering and exiting.
The vaccination rate of Hong Kong citizens is also rising.
The more rigorous the anti-epidemic measures, the more freedom the citizens have, the faster Hong Kong's economy recovers, and customs clearance will be a matter of course.
Everything is going in a good direction, and the day when the two places are cleared, I believe it will come soon!
