High Talent Pass Program is highly sought after by Mainlanders
Launched on December 28, 2022, the Highly Talented Persons Scheme (HTPS) aims to attract high-quality talents with high income, high educational attainment and rich working experience to develop in Hong Kong.
The High Talent Pass Scheme is open to three categories of people:
★ Category A: Individuals with an annual income of HK$2.5 million or above (or its equivalent in foreign currency) in the year preceding the date of application;
★ Category B: Individuals who have obtained a bachelor's degree from an eligible university and have accumulated at least three years of work experience in the five years prior to application;
★ Category C: Persons who have obtained a bachelor's degree from an eligible university and have less than three years of working experience in the five years prior to application.
The latest statistics show that as at the end of July this year, the Immigration Department has received a total of 93,842 applications from talented individuals, of which 74,587 have been approved and only 4,531 rejected.
Among the approved applicants, as many as 70,600 are from Mainland China, accounting for 94.65%.
